The supervisor will be responsible to the leisure centre co-ordinator and assist in maintaining the management, operation and control of the recreation centre, including the supervision of staff and volunteers. The appointee will also be required to initiate and organise recreational activities, promote youth programmes, take bookings and collect charges. Applicants should possess organisational ability and be familiar with a broad range of recreational activities and opportunities. A physical education background would be an advantage. The salary is within the $17,107—517,720. SWIMMING POOL SUPERVISORS OTARA AND MANGERE The appointees will be responsible to the leisure centre manager for the management, operation and supervision of the Norman Kirk Memorial Pool in Otara and the “Fun Pool” complex in Mangere. Whilst not considered essential, a desirable qualification would be the Ministry of Works Swimming Pool Water Treatment Certificate. Additionally applicants qualified in life saving would find this an advantage. The salary will be to a maximum of $18,455 with significant allowances being paid for working a rostered shift.
