Gracefield, carry out the testing of engineering and architectural materials and apply experimental investigation techniques to support the design and operational activities of the Ministry of Works and Development. Considerable use is made within Central Laboratories of PDP 11 systems for data acquisition and analysis as part of this work. Both RSXIIM and RTli operating systems are used, together with products such as DECNET and MINITAB. A vacancy exists for a scientist to assist in the development and application of software for these date acquisition systems. Experience in the use of PDP 11 systems in a laboratory environment is desirable, together with general experience in the use of electronic measuring and recording equipment.
