Two-day yearling sale
Two days of selling will be necessary to handle the 340 entries for the national standardbred sale of yearlings to be held in Christchurch on’ February 13 and 14 next. As a result of a larger than usual entry for yearlings, the auctioneers, Wrightson Bloodstock, Ltd, have decided not to run the broodmare and mixed sale usually held in conjunction with the national sales. A replacement sale for these horses will be announced soon. An extremely high quality was obvious in the yearling entries, said a spokesman for the auctioneers.
