Brewery Accountant A career step into a dynamic company Dominion Breweries manufactures beer products for the lower half of the North Island from its Pahiatua Brewery, 30 minutes’ drive out of Palmerston North. An S 8 million budget has been allocated to bring the Brewery abreast of the highest in world standards. Part of the overall enhancement project is the upgrading of the accounting and reporting systems through the latest technology in computer hardware and software. The Brewery Accountant reports directly to the Manager of the Brewery acting as his financial adviser and carrying full responsibility for the accounting function. Emphasis will be on systems development over the next two years with forecasting, annual business plans, management reporting and the control of capital expenditure as other priorities. This is a senior position in itself, but is considered within the Dominion Breweries structure to be an interim career step leading to later promotion to one of the major centres. It will be successfully filled by an applicant with relevant tertiary qualifications, a strong systems orientation and a track record of achievement.
