Kaurex query
The new float of Kaurex Corporation, Ltd, is not a mining company, the chairman, Sir George Chapman, has confirmed. He made a statement after Kaurex directors had been handed a letter from the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy to the Stock Exchange which questions whether Kaurex is a mining company in terms of listing requirements. Sir George said Kaurex’s prospectus clearly sets out that the company is engaged in processing peat and is not involved in exploration work or mining.
