Veteran climber dies
NZPA-AP London The veteran mountaineer, Don Whillans, who conquered some of the world’s most dangerous peaks but failed twice to reach the summit of Mount Everest, has died in his sleep, at the age of 52, a fellow climber, Chris Bonnington. announced.
