Treaty endorsed —P.M.

The Prime Minister, Mr Lange, as spokesman for the South Pacific Forum, said last evening he would be surprised if Vanuatu did not" sign the Treaty of Rarotonga. Mr Lange said, “The fact is that there was an endorsement by Vanuatu of the treaty and the communique which was released confirmed that, and Vanatu has been a leading advocate for moving against nuclear developments and it would seem, I think, probably a most unlikely outcome that the country that had said most about nuclearism should do the least.”
Mr Lange arrived in Nukualofa yesterday
