Seminar on biogas for transport
A two-day seminar on the small scale use of bio-gas in transport has been organised by the department of Extension Studies, University of Canterbury. It will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, August 21 and 22 at the Engineering Department of the university, in Christchurch. People connected with two of the best-known local examples of successful biogas use for transport, the Christchurch Drainage Board and the Cust Christian Community, will either speak to the seminar or.host a field trip. ",
The seminar will cover the complete production process including discussion of various feedstocks, the processing of gas to vehicle fuel, its performance in internal combustion engines and its operation in a moderately large fleet of vehicles. It is designed to assist individuals and groups who already have plants as well as those planning to establish them. Inquiries and registrations will be handled by the department of Extension Studies.
