Gospel song award
Shane Archbold, of Christchurch, won the Kiwi Country and Western Club’s inaugural gospel singing award in the senior section at the State Trinity Theatre in Christchurch on Saturday. About 40 singers from Canterbury competed in four age sections. Winners of the other three sections were: duet, Debbie Mannix and Jason Meldrum (Christchurch); intermediate, Jackie Evans (Christchurch); junior, Nerida Leishman (Christchurch).
