NEW ZEALAND FOREST SERVICE SOUTH CANTERBURY RANGER DISTRICT DRAFT WILD ANIMAL CONTROL PLAN 1985-1990 A DRAFT Wild Animal Control Plan for the 19851990 period has been prepared for the South Canterbury Ranger District (that area lying between the Waitaki and Rakaia Rivers, the Southern Alps, and the sea). Preparation of this plan is in accordance with section 5 (1) (d) of the Wild Animal Control Act 1977. The plan covers much Crown-owned land of various tenures in South Canterbury, and for this re ason it is intended that the approval of the Minister of Forests be sought to the final plan. Copies of the plan are available for inspection at Forest Service offices at 133 Victoria Street, Christchurch, 19 Woollacombe Street, Timaru, South Terrace, Geraldine, and Omarama, or may be purchased at these offices for $4 each. Interested groups or individuals are invited to submit comments on the draft in writing to the Conservator of Forests, N.Z. Forest Service, P.O. THE NORTH CANTERBURY ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY PUBLIC NOTICE COUNCIL VACANCIES NOMINATIONS ARE INVITED to reach the undersigned, not later than August 31, 1985, from registered members of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society, to fill vacancies occurring in respect to the Society’s following sub-districts, as pursuant to Rules 8 and 9. (a) The City of Christchurch, and the Boroughs of Lyttelton and Riccarton, and the Counties of Waimairi and Heathcote. 3 MEMBERS (b) The Counties of Ellesmere, Paparua, Mount Herbert, Akaroa and Wairewa. 1 MEMBER (c) The Counties of Amuri, Cheviot, Hurunui, and those portions of the Nelson and Marlborough land districts within the Society’s boundary. 1 MEMBER Nominations for office shall be on the official nomination form, and must indicate the sub-dis-trict within which the nominee resides, and in respect of which he is nominated.
