W. Smart training Sir Castleton
Wayne Smart, who was employed by the late Mr Mawson MacPherson, has been granted a horseman’s licence to train the top trotter, Sir Castleton, and others, this season. Smart produced Sir Cas-
tieton to run second at the Ashburton trials on Thursday. He had been left in charge of the Simba Lodge team in recent seasons when Mr MacPherson campaigned Sir Castleton in the North Island and Australia.
