Bank America
Bank America, the second largest bank in the United States, cut its common stock dividend for the third quarter last evening to 20c per share from 38c, the first such cut since the Depression. Two weeks ago, Bank America reported a second-quarter loss of JUS33BM (5NZ642.2M), compared to a profit of SUSIIOM (JNZ2O9M) during the corresponding period a year ago. The huge second-quarter loss was due to a SUSS27M (SNZIOOI.3M).
