Firm winds up
A Christchurch clothing manufacturer, Hilton International, Ltd, has gone into liquidation voluntarily because of inability to pay its debts. At a creditors’ meeting held last Friday the statement of affairs revealed a deficiency of $227,067. The Christchurch chartered accountants,
Messrs S. B. Ashton and J. W. D. Ryder, of Ashton Wheelans and Hegan, have been appointed liquidators of the company. Mr Ashton said last evening that there had been no redundancies: employees had been taken on by another firm. The annual turnover of Hilton International was about $BOO,OOO.
