Two Christchurch children were in a three-way tie for first place in a national peace poster competition. The winning posters by Melissa Smith (top left) and Perrin Jones (below), both aged six, and Eugene Moore, aged 11, of Lower Hutt, will be reproduced on colourful badges which will soon be available through peace groups. The competition was part of a worldwide contest organised by International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War. The New Zealand posters are on display at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington.
