Death not suspicious
The police are no longer treating as suspicious the discovery of a man’s body with a gunshot wound to the head in a van near Dunsandel on Friday. The dead
man was Alan Paul Weeks, aged 24, unemployed, of Waimate. The body was found in a brightly coloured Austin van
in a lay-by off State highway 1, about 12km south of Dunsandel. A .303 rifle was found in the van. The police will carry out forensic tests, on the weapon this week.
