Evernden in tennis open final

NZPA-AP New Haven, Connecticut Fourth-seeded Kelly Evernden, of New Zealand, defeated unseeded Stephen Krueger, of South Africa, 64, 4-6, 7-5, on Saturday to advance to the finals of the Pilot Pen open tennis tournament. Evernden, aged 22, will meet the sixth-seed, Gary Muller, of South Africa, in the championship round today at Yale University courts.
