Rembrandt restoration
A Rembrandt masterpiece damaged in June by a man throwing acid is being restored and will be put back on display at Leningrad’s famed Hermitage Museum, Pravda says. The Communist Party daily newspaper said the painting, Rembrandt’s Danae, was seriously burned by the chemical but was not beyond repair as first thought. — Moscow.
