Wizardry on van
The Wizard cast a good spell on the regulator of a Crippled Children Society van which has been converted to liquefied petroleum gas free of charge by Durent LPG Equipment, Ltd. Looking on are (from left) the president of the Canterbury branch of the society, Mr Mervyn Radford, the director of Durent LPG, Mr Kees Durent, and the manager of the Christ-
church branch of the company, Mr Noel Smith. The offer to convert the van came just as the society was budgeting for such a
job — “another bit of Wizard magic,” said Mr Bob Mitchell, the regional manager for the Crippled Children Society. The conversion, valued at $2200, would save the society about $lO a day, he said, a considerable benefit as the van was in constant use transporting people. The 12-seater vehicle was already back on the road last evening.
