Education Officers Royal New Zealand Navy Applications are invited for positions in the Education Branch of the RNZN on Direct Entry Commissions. These positions will ideally suit tertiary-trained personnel who have completed or almost completed a degree, or have technological qualifications, and who have completed teacher or tutor training. Duties: Successful applicants will be appointed initially to the following positions: (1) To teach AAVA subject 1040 communications, written communication skills. (2) To teach physics, electronics and mathematics. Age: Applicants under 30 years are preferred. Conditions: The successful applicants must be physically fit on entry. The term of engagement will be initially for a five year period. During this initial term an extension may be offered to ten years’ service and in due course to twenty years’ contributory service to qualify for retiring allowance.
