VACANCY 7822 JOURNALIST, HEAD OFFICE POSITION: There is a vacancy in the Information Services of the Ministry of Works and Development for a competent, versatile journalist to assist in promoting the varied activities of the Ministry and in gaining public and client goodwill using mass media and public relations techniques. Duties would include writing press releases, subediting, preparation of pamphlets and brochures, and general liaison with newspapers, radio and television, printers and advertising agencies. Travel within New Zealand may be required from time to time. THE PERSON: The person we are seeking will preferably have had between two and four years experience in public relations or the media and will have proven writing ability. Age is immaterial but the ability to meet deadlines is essential and some radio experience would be an asset.
