Office block sold
A six-storey building nowbeing built at 172 Hereford Street has been sold to the Metropolitan Life Assurance Company of New' Zealand. Ltd. for $2.4 million. The previous owner of the building, Castleton Securities. Ltd. bought the midcity site for redevelopment in May last year. Castleton Securities is a small, independent Christchurch-based propertv developer. Metropolitan Life intends to move into the building later this year, and lease four of five office floors. The ground floor houses two retail shops and 34 carparks.
