PA Wellington The New Zealand Table Tennis Association is awaiting a reply from Japan for two of its top players to tour here later next month. Japan approached the New Zealand association earlier this year about hosting two leading players after the Victoria 150th jubilee tournament in Melbourne. The New Zealand executive officer, Mr Merv Allardyce, said he was expecting word back from Japan any day. He said the two English players, Alan Cook and Colin Wilson, could also play here next month. Cook was runner up in the Commonwealth championships on the Isle of Man earlier this year.
