Cruelty to horse alleged
PA Gisborne Three men have been charged with aggravated cruelty to a horse which died after allegedly being towed behind a car near Ruatoria. Hone Tamati Kaua Te Rangi Heeney, aged 22, unemployed, Cody Haua, aged 26, unemployed, and Ap-
erahama Haua, aged 25, unemployed, faced the charge in the District Court at Gisborne on Monday. ’ All pleaded not guilty and were remanded to July 10. Judge Hole refused bail to Heeney and Cody Haua, who were already bailed on other charges, but granted bail to Aperahama Haua.
