Rowles out of hospital
PA Auckland The New Zealand singer, John Rowles, who had emergency surgery for stomach ulcers a fortnight ago, has been discharged from a Los Angeles hospital. His New Zealand promoter, Mr Benny Levin, said doctors at Brotman Memorial Hospital had been astounded by Mr Rowles’s quick recovery because he was expected to be in hospital for a month. “Within two weeks he will be up and rehearsing shows again,” said Mr Levin. “He is a tremendously fit guy.” Rowles is expected to arrive in New Zealand for a tour on September 22.
