Delegates opposed
PA Greymouth Delegates at the New Zealand Trotting Conference are opposed to the racing authority’s directive to categorise stakes subsidies according to course classifications. The majority of delegates at yesterday’s annual meeting “strongly objected to the
directive.” The conference said the authority had the right to restrict the amenities payment. However, the decision to intervene in stakes subsidy payment without adequate consultation would have far-reaching effects on rural communities and the future of trotting.
