Rowles to rest for a month

PA Auckland The singer, John Rowles, will convalesce for more than a month after emergency surgery for stomach ulcers. Rowles, who is 38, collapsed before a show in Los Angeles last Friday. He is in a comfortable condition in hospital, according to his New Zealand promoter, Benny Levin. Mr Levin said Rowles would probably remain in hospital another 10 days. ■ “After that, he will be convalescent for about three or four weeks,” he said.
