Dutch cellist to perform
The virtuoso Dutch cellist, Anner Bylsma, will perform in New Zealand in August. In a two-concert series in Wellington for the Music Federation of New Zealand, he will present the complete solo cello suites of J. S. Bach, on August 2 and 3. Over the past 25 years Mr Bylsma has established himself as one of the world’s
leading instrumentalists, with an impressive array of top prizes from international competitions to his credit, as well as recordings by all the major record companies. Anner Bylsma has a particular interest in early music for cello, and performs music of the baroque era on a 300-year-old cello made in Venice by Matteo Goffriller.
