Situations Vacant LECTURER IN CHRISTIAN ORIGINS AND EARLY CHURCH HISTORY THE College of St John the Evangelist, Auckland, is intending to create a new Faculty position for a person to teach Christian Origins and Early Church History, with particular emphasis in the area of women's story and spirituality. The appointment will be with effect from February, 1986. The job description can be refined by negotiation, taking into account the skills and qualifications of the person appointed. The College prepares women and men for ordination and ministry principally in the Anglican and Methodist churches. It is expected that the successful applicant will take a full and equal share in the life of the Faculty and the College. This includes leadership In worship; participation in the evaulatlon of Field Education; pastoral care of students; academic tuition to extra-mural students; involvement with the wider Church and community. The appointment is open to persons, lay or ordained, who are full members in good standing with a Christian denomination. The appointment is subject to conditions laid down by the Board of Governors of the College. There is provision for sabbatical leave. A free hcuse is provided on the College campus. The salary is currently fixed at the level for clergy in the Anglican Diocese of Auckland ($NZ16,776.) Allowances are paid towards travel, hospitality and books.
