This painting of an early Ethiopian village scene, depicting order and abundance, contrasts sharply with village life in that country today. The painting is part of an exhibition in Munich which is being held to stimulate interest in the plight of Ehtiopian drought victims. The exhibition, which shows life in Ethiopia over the last 2500 years, has been organised by the S.O.S. Children’s Villages organisation. Exhibits have come from private and public art collections.
