Honour for astronaut
NZPA-Reuter Paris The French President, Mr Francois Mitterrand, has bestowed the Legion of Honour, the highest French award, on the crew of the United States space shuttle Discovery, which included a French Air Force officer and a Saudi Prince.
The French astronaut, Lieutenant-Colonel Patrick Baudry, was named Officer of the Legion of Honour during the awards. The other crew members, including five Americans, also received Legion of Honour awards, which usually are reserved for French citizens.
