‘Photos sold’
A Soviet employee of the Maritime Fleet Ministry has been found guilty of having, “transmitted to the West” documents on the Soviet arms industry, the Soviet daily newspaper, “Trud” reported yesterday. Guennadi Petrov, aged 35, a designer employed by the Ministry, took pictures of a military airport with the help of a Soviet officer and sold them “for a large sum of money” to a Western businessman, it said. — Moscow.
