Applications are expected from people in both the Local Authority sector, and the private contracting field, but it is expected that the successful applicant will have a good understanding of National Roads Board requirements. The position calls for a person with some clerical ability to ensure that satisfactory records are kept. However, the successful applicant can expect that most of his/her time will be spent in the field. The salary payable for this position is from Level 18 to level 21 of Council’s Industrial Agreement (currently $18,845.29 to $20,466.08 but in addition, a regular payment for overtime is made. However for an outstanding applicant council is prepared to make a most attractive package in terms of salary, relocation and other expenses and possibly housing finance.
