Favourite spelled
PA Auckland Admiral Soanai, the beaten favourite in the main race for trotters at Alexandra Park on Saturday night, is to be spelled. The gelding broke 300 metres out in the Harness Publications Handicap and finished last. Questioned by stipendiary stewards, driver Brian Gleeson said that, although Admiral Soanai had added considerably to his handicap, the connections were disappointed with the run. Hg said Admiral Soanai worfld have a spell.
