Cosmetics firm dispute
PA Auckland Production has stopped at a cosmetics firm, Stevens Industries, Ltd, after 25 women went home on Wednesday because of a dispute. The women, who are members of the Drue and Chemical Workers’ Union, will meet again today to
discuss the dispute at the Glen Innes factory. At a pharmaceutical firm, Wellcome N.Z., Ltd, 19 suspended workers have returned to work after partial settlement of a dispute was reached. The workers had imposed a ban on a foilpacking machine in a dispute over the classification of four workers.
