The upgrading of trunk service mains, residential streetworks and engineering services are within neighbourhood 1 (the older urban areas of the borough.) A brief description of the contracts proposed are as follows. (A) Contract No. 30—Neplusultra Street Works—the work contained in this contract includes the excavation, metalling and sealing of approximately 9.800 sq m of street carriageway, kerb and channel construction, asphaltic concrete footpaths, vehicle entranceways to residential sections and o.skm of stormwater drains (150 mm and 225 mm dia) and associated works. The contract also provides for topsoiling and grassing of street verge and trenching for underground cabling. Sealed tenders to-be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 30.” (B) Contract No. 31—Ray Street and miscellaneous streetworks.
