Nine people remanded over incidents
Five men and four women were yesterday remanded on bail of $750 each on charges relating to disorderly behaviour early in the day outside the Christchurch hotels where the All Blacks and the England rugby team are staying. lan Duncan Stewart, aged 33, a worker, Linda Janet Beatson, aged 20, a student, and Michael Joseph Thompson, aged 23, a labourer, did not plead. They were each re-
manded by Judge Cadenhead in the District Court to June 6. Elizabeth Ann Brady, aged 20, a library assistant, Bryan John de Wintott, aged 23, a technician, Sally Graham Hunter, aged 33, Sharon Wendy Gottermeyer, a student, aged 20, Paul Anthony Cottam, aged 21, a student, and John Richard Jeffrey, aged 20, unemployed, were remanded to dates in September for defended hearings.
