We expect the first runners to turn at the airport at about 11.06 a.m. PLEASE don t follow the runners on bicycles or in cars. It only creates traffic problems. When coming to Q.E. II Park Stadium would people please use the car parks. No parking is permitted on the adjoining roads, especially Barkers Road. ® SATURDAY 2 p.m. „ * T Sports Medicine/Running Forum/Diamond Pasta Party, Town Hall, Christchurch. ... Speakers include Dr Jack Scaff, cardiologist, founder of the Honolulu Marathon and Marathon clinic; Barry Magee, a top runner from the 1960’s Lydiard school, now coaching extensively; Donna Scaff, race director of the “Great Hawaiian Footrace”; Professor Roger Robinson, noted runner and speaker. Plus lan Thompson and Gillian Burley, runners from England. ® SUNDAY is marathon and half-marathon day, plus a great postrace function and price giving.
