Police seek intruder
An intruder who tried to climb through the open window of a flat in Avonside Drive on Wednesday evening is still sought by the police. The man fled after an occupant called out when she saw a foot come through her bedroom window, said Detective SeniorSergeant Michael Muddiman. Minutes earlier, someone had knocked on the back door of the flat and, seeing no lights, tried unsuccessfully to gain entry.
