Drugs used at mill site
PA Wellington Employers on the New Zealand Steel mill extensions are worried about alleged dealing and use of marijuana on the site, the “New Zealand Herald” newspaper reports. In a letter to combined site unions, New Zealand Steel Development. Ltd, said it was concerned about the growing use of the drug among the workers.
It said there was a “serious safety concern both with respect to an individual user and workmates if drug use affected their ability to work safely.”
