Six wicket victory for Aust.
NZPA-AAP Derby Australia beat Derbyshire by six wickets with 14 balls to spare in the 55-overs-a--side game at the Racecourse Ground in Derby yesterday. Australia made four for 192 in reply to Derbyshire’s nine for 188. Kepler Wessels, Graeme Wood and David Boon were top scorers with 64, 41 and 34 respectively. The fast bowler, Dave Gilbert, was the most successful of the Australian bowlers with 3/47.
