Car theft case remand
Nelson reporter A company director, aged 40, was remanded to July 24 for the taking of depositions when he appeared in the district Court at Nelson yesterday on charges involving American ears valued at $llO,OOO. The man, whose name was suppressed by Judge Headifen, was charged that on May 3 at Nelson, he
wilfully attempted to obstruct the course of justice by withholding information enabling the Crown to seize two vehicles forfeit to the Crown, and that on the same day he stole a Pontiac Transam car valued at $60,000 and a Chevrolet Camaro valued at $50,000, the property of the New Zealand Government. Bail was renewed.
