Money found in milk
PA Auckland A Massey couple found a ?2 banknote in their milk at breakfast yesterday. Mr Ken Collingwood and his wife, Roma, said that the note, although “washed out," was still clearly marked. “I suppose it got left in the bottle when it was put out,” said Mr Collingwood.
“It does make you wonder about the sterilisation procedure.” The general manager of the Auckland Milk Corporation, Mr Alec Brown, said, “Theoretically, it should never happen, but when you are cleaning 300 bottles a minute, every now and then there is human error. It is a one-in-a-million occurrence.”
