Pamphlet explains Rd plan
A pamphlet drafted by the Waimairi District Council concerning the proposed widening of Fendalton Road should be delivered to residents in the area today.
The council’s information officer, Mrs Gael Brooks, said the brochure needed the approval of the riding members of the Waimairi District Council before it could be distributed to residents.
If the pamphlet was approved this morning, however, it should be ready “no later than midday.” -
The council was “setting out facts as we know them” in the pamphlet and “putting them to the residents of Fendalton.”
Mrs Brooks said the council hoped the residents would then assimilate the facts and attend the second public meeting of the Fendalton Residents’ Association at the St Barnabas’ Church hall at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29.
