Muldoon meeting for Frankton
PA Hamilton Sir Robert Muldoon will speak in Hamilton on May 24, thanks to a Frankton snack-bar proprietor who wants him back as leader of the National Party. Mr John Rowe started a petition in his snack bar some weeks ago calling for Sir Robert’s return. Public support convinced Mr Rowe that Sir Robert should be invited to address a meet-
ing. Word of mouth had made his campaign a success, with 650 letters from many North Island centres and 935 signatures on his petition, he said. “This meeting could be only the first of many,” he said. “Everyone is getting Muldoon-oriented. I don’t think the National Party realises how much trouble it is in.”
