Jockeys to benefit
PA Auckland Auckland and Waikato jockeys plan a fund raising evening in May, the proceeds of which will go towards the Injured Jumps Jockeys’ Fund.
One of the organisers, Jacky Thompson, wife of the Thames jockey, Ross Thompson, said five riders have received payments from the Injured Jumps Jockeys’ Fund this winter.
They are David Miller, Brett McDonald, Steve Rackham, Billy Hennigon and Alan Bishop. «,
