Marine gives up
An armed United States marine blocked access to the American Embassy in Oslo for 15 hours this week before giving himself up, said United States officials. The marine, aged 20, who had been on guard duty at the embassy, had been under great emotional stress recently, the officials said. He blocked the embassy’s main front door and refused to let staff enter the building when they arrived for work on Monday morning. He gave himself up on Tuesday evening and had been taken out of Norway. — Oslo.
