The father of Princess Diana has disclosed that he took out a bank loan to
restore the family’s country mansion. Like many English aristocrats, Earl Spencer found himself with a palatial but decaying home — and little money to finance repairs. China joins parade China has held its first “Miss Physical Fitness” beauty contest with 19 swimsuit-clad finalists vying for the title. More than 10,000 people packed a stadium in the south-eastern city of Fuzhou to see the event which the China News Agency described as an “unprecedented success.” The finalists, wearing only “tight nylon” swimsuits, were asked to show various “aesthetic” poses on stage.— Hong Kong.
