Arthritis advice meeting
A public meeting on understanding arthritis will be held in Riccarton this evening. The meeting, organised by the Association of Occupational Therapists, will provide information about arthritis and rheumatism and to describe help available from doctors and other health professionals. The guest speaker at the meeting, at the Rugby Club Hall, Mandeville Street, at 7.30 p.m., will be Ms Hanna Gruen, a visiting occupational therapist with a special interest in arthritis.
Ms Gruen was guest speaker to the British Association for Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at the University of Leeds recently.
She is arthritis education co-ordinator at the Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. Ms Gruen will explain the occupational therapist’s role in helping people suffering from arthritis.
