Holiday events mistake
A much-regretted error in “The Press” yesterday caused confusion and inconvenience for many people in Christchurch. The list of holiday activities, prepared to assist people to take advantage of the many events that are arranged during the school holidays, was a wrong list. “The Press” soon heard about the mistake yesterday morning after people began to look for activities that were not being held. Our sincere apologies are extended to all these people. The origin of the mistake, which led to the printing of an outdated list, has been removed. Nevertheless, it is acknowledged that the mistake is doubly unfortunate because attention was not drawn yesterday to many events that were being held. The correct list is printed today on page 13.
