Getting fit
Those getting back to fitness after a period of inactivity would be wise to follow a carefully graded programme.
When judging it for oneself, a sensible rule of thumb is: slow down if you feel strain, stop if you feel pain, but aim to do a little more each time.
Both the Jazzercise Fitness Centre and the Total Fitness Centre now offer integrated fitness programmes.
This is new for Jazzercise, which has recently extended its scope considerably. Besides a variety of aerobic classes, it also offers a range of other fitness exercises, including “circuit training,” which means time-limited exercises with weights.
An integrated programme is worked out to suit the individual person, following a comprehensive fitness test, and the fitness test is repeated each three months.
